Death, Taxes, and Merlot

Yeah…not so sure about that. Tampa has already demoted Piche. He’s not in the AHL (which he was with GR).

This is Tampa. He won’t make the Tampa team. And it sucks to say that but I’ve gotten to know the Tampa organization and how it works. Piche won’t get that chance with Tampa.

And as much as I’m pissed about Piche being traded, it sucks even more for Commodore, Kindl, Smith, Pyatt, Janik, Exelby, Ehrhardt, and Lashoff. Grand Rapids has 6 defenseman. According to Holland, it’s staying that way. Someone gets hurt, Grand Rapids is screwed.

Not only that, but bringing Quincey in has screwed both Kindl and Commodore over. Commodore has not gotten a fair shot at being the sixth defenseman at all this season and bringing in someone else who, lets face it, didn’t even have to earn his freaking start tonight, makes things worse for Commie.

There are too many quality players getting fucked over by this trade that there’s no way it’s a good deal in my eyes. Especially if we’re stuck with Quincey beyond this season.
