Eaves is dealing with headaches daily after suffering a concussion when he was hit in the face by a puck on Nov. 26. He finally feels OK to go on the ice by himself, which he has done for the past week, but there is no estimate on when he can practice, much less play again.

“I’m doing a little better,” he said. “I can skate by myself, but it’s nothing serious. I think it’s more therapeutic. It hasn’t been fun, but, I’ve been with my family and my daughter, so I’m trying to make the best of it.”

Eaves said he’s “day-to-day. Symptoms come and go. It’s a slow process.”

As for playing again this season, Eaves had no answer. “I really don’t know. The way things are going, it’s been slow. I’d love to come back, but we’ll see what happens. I have good days and bad days.” Eaves said he has a headache, “every day. It just depends how bad it is, and then all the stuff that comes with it.”
